What do you wear?
Wear loose clothing. Acupuncture points are located on every part of the body. Many points are located from the knees and elbows to the ends of the hands and toes. It will be more comfortable if you dress in clothes that will effortlessly roll up to your knees or elbows.
What results can you expect?
Depending on how long you have been struggling with a certain condition, treatment results differ. For acute conditions, one or two treatments may make a considerable change in how you feel. For chronic illnesses, you may require several treatments before you detect much change in the way you feel. Usually people feel peaceful and stress-free after a treatment and have a good nights sleep.
What type of needles are being used?
The needles in contemporary practice are sterile, ultra-thin, stainless steel needles for single use only and are disposed of after the treatment.

How do you enroll as a patient?
One should first think about whether the offering is appropriate for your needs. Ostensen welcomes patients who :
1. Have a disorder that is suitable to be treated by acupuncture or herbology (call with any questions) Are ready and able to come for treatments on a regular basis (typically once or twice per week)
2. Are ready to take an herbal formula if prescribed
